Lawsuits hold up Parkdale Wal-Mart

Three pending lawsuits are the latest snags to face Wal-Mart officials planning to build a Supercenter at Parkdale Plaza.

The lawsuits, filed in the 148th District Court by Parkdale Plaza owners and Sutherlands, seek clarifications on the lease agreement between Parkdale Plaza's owners and Sutherlands. The Supercenter was supposed to have a grand opening early this year.

Among primary issues are Sutherlands pitted parking lot and an agreement not to allow a direct competitor into Parkdale Plaza, attorneys said.

Sutherlands officials say their lease prevents the landlord from allowing another prospective tenant to be "permitted to sell building materials and/or home improvement supplies and services."

Sutherlands attorney Jim Robichaux of Corpus Christi said the lease needs to be clearly defined and Wal-Mart needs to show its proposed business model and how that would not affect Sutherlands' business and lease.

Radio & TV Talk

But her tribe Zhan Hu wasn't strong enough and they tended to lose despite her efforts. She chose not to play mind games, and her A-type personality clashed with some other tribe members, especially Dave Cruser. So when rival tribe Fei Long kidnapped her two episodes ago, she became vulnerable. ("I got screwed in the switch," she said.) What's worse: Frosti, another kidnapped Zhan Hu member, accidentally spied the immunity Idol this past Thursday, protecting his survival for now.

Lloyd could have survived if Zhan Hu had thrown the immunity challenge a second time this past Thursday, but they weren't sure if she was trustworthy once the two tribes merged. She hurt herself when she chose not to talk to Zhan Hu member Peih-Gee Law during the reward challenge.

But overall, Lloyd told Buzz she had a good time despite the lack of food and sleep.

How to save your computer from attacks

Most people do use surge protectors, but what many dont realize is that surge protection wears off over time. For the best protection make sure that the surge protectors for all your computer equipment are replaced every 2 to 3 years.

3-Illegal Software. Many businesses dont realize that they dont own software; just the licenses to use it on a specific number of PCs. Manyt software programs automatically report their usage via the internet, and breach-of-license letters and audits from software manufacturers to businesses are on the rise.

4-Training. Having to spend money training your staff might sound like a waste, but most employees understand less than 20% of the software packages they use. The gain in productivity far outweighs the training costs.

5-Firewall and Security.

The Economics Of Free Isn't Good Or Bad -- It's Simply What Happens

People make decisions over what they deem as good or bad and the economics change accordingly.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I think the question that needs to be posed is whether or not there really is new economic stimuli. In the case for Google, I think it does. Posting ads on a page that offers free service allows people to use those ads to indirectly make purchases. But I don't think this is a universal truth, someone needs to eventually get paid in the end, directly or indirectly, and for that to happen someone needs to spend money eventually.
